CMT Answer Update:
CMT reader Daniel Dunbar had a few points for answers in our 05/31 Answers page.
For the 'ping pong ball' question, he noted:"It could also be South Park: Bigger Longer and Uncut. It has Winona Ryder hitting ping pong balls from between her legs." They didn't mention they were after an animated flick, but the movie definitely had some ping-pong ball shootin' going on.

Also on the 'movie with no music' question, we gave "The Blair Witch" as a flick with no music. Daniel also wrote "I'm not positive but I think Alfred Hitchcocks 'The Birds' didn't have any music in it, but I may be wrong." After doing some checking I found he was indeed right, and also that Hitch's "Lifeboat" didn't have any music either. Thanks, Dan.

In what movie did a character named Fabienne say "Any time of the day is a good time for pie?"

-Karen
CMT Answer:
That movie is the classic Tarantino flick "Pulp Fiction". Fabienne was Butch's (Bruce Willis) girlfriend, played by Maria de Medeiros. And she not only liked pie, she liked being called a tulip more than a mongoloid.

Was the cemetary in "Poltergeist" an Indian burial ground?
-Car Peterson

CMT Answer:
Yep, it was, although there were also normal coffins popping up at the end of the flick. The house itself was built on an old relocated graveyard where only the headstones were removed- no real connection was established between the Indian burial ground and the uprooted normal graveyard.

At any rate, you'd think people would know not to mess with Indian burial grounds by now.

What movie was the phrase "No, YOU are so money" from. I am thinking a Groucho Marx movie.
-Donna
CMT Answer:
It sounds alot like the 1996 comedy goodie "Swingers". Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau had tons of classic lines in the flick, and variations of calling each other 'money' was done all the way through. I don't have a copy of the movie to match that specific quote to, but I'm betting it's Swingers.

.
In what film and which actor originally said the following? "We're walking. We're walking."
-Jeff
CMT Answer:
Could be from a number of flicks but the one you're thinking of might be the 1993 comedy "Dave", starring Kevin Kline as a presidential look alike. Bonnie Hunt played a tour guide in the White House, and used the "We're walking. We're walking." chant to keep the visitors moving.

Can you please tell me the name of the movie that aired on VH1 not long ago about the life of Ricky Nelson and if it's available on video? Also do you know the name of the song he was singing at the end of his last concert which aired at the end of the movie. Some of the lyrics were I met her on Sunday, Salute her when her birthday come; Da da da da da... She's got everything she needs, the law can't touch her at all. Can you help?
-Toni
CMT Answer:
There are quite a few Ricky Nelson movies out there so I don't know the exact one it might have been, but VH1 did produce an unauthorized Ricky Nelson biopic called "Ricky Nelson: Original Teen Idol" in 1999. The one you were watching could very likely have been a rebroadcast of this.

The song you were after was called "She Belongs to Me". Lyrics domain has a complete list of just about all of Nelson's lyrics. They require you to do a free registration to use their database.

What was the first James Bond movie and who played James Bond?
-Cindy
CMT Answer:
I love the easy ones! The first James Bond movie was 1962's "Dr. No". Bond was played by Sean Connery in the flick, and Connery went on to appear as 007 six more times for a total of seven.
.
Who was the main actress in Eight Mile?
-Rachelle
CMT Answer:
Brittany Murphy played Eminem's girlfriend "Alex". She's been in quite a few movies recently, including "Just Married" with Ashton Kutcher, the druggie drama "Spun", and was the "I'll never tell..." psychotic girl from "Don't Say a Word". Kim Basinger played Eminem's mother Stephanie.

In the movie "She's All That" from 1999, where was the real location/venue of the prom scenes filmed at? My friend claims his prom was held at the same place.
-MJ
CMT Answer:
The film was shot largely on location at Torrance High School in Torrance, California. However, the prom scenes were filmed at the Cerritos Art Square in Cerritos, California. I found an online interview with Rachel Leigh Cook, who played the girl being 'transformed' by the hunk-tastic Freddie Prinze. Here's a quote:

We shot the prom forever.
(Sighs) We were in the Cerritos Art Square. It was ridiculous.
We were in our prom outfits for 13 hours a day for 12 days

You have been very helpful in the past. Can you help again in naming the Clint Eatwood western where in the final shootout he repels the bullet with a metal plate under his poncho?
-Les
CMT Answer:
The movie was "For a Few Dollars More", the spaghetti-western sequel to the classic "A Fistful of Dollars". Clint used an old stove top as an impromptu bullet-proof vest, thus helping to save the life of Marty McFly in "Back to the Future III".
.
Do you know what movie or actor this quote is from? Please help me.
"Who shot who in the what now?"
-Pytara
CMT Answer:
I came across several instances of this quote, all attributed to Homer Simpson from the 'Who shot Mr. Burns' episode on "The Simpsons". Hey, not a movie question but your heart was in the right place.
.
What Interstate was used in the filming of "Smokey and the Bandit"? I've been told it was I-16 east of Macon, but my answer is I-20 West of Atlanta. Who's right?
-Rob Gibson
CMT Answer:
IMDB lists the filming locations for the 1977 flick as primarily as Georgia and Florida, but gives no specifics on the highways used. After doing some online digging, the info I found lists the highways used for filming as: Route 316 in Northern Georgia, and I-5 in Kern County, California. I found many sites listing I-20 as 'the highway the writers of Smokey and the Bandit had in mind' when creating the flick, but no actual reference to filming there. I also found no mention of I-16 as a filming location. So, looks like neither you nor your buddy have to pay for all the Coors next time...
.
What other movies (beside the recent "Finding Nemo") used the song "Beyond the Sea" over its closing credits?
-Kathy Coleman
CMT Answer:
I found the song used in the movies "Tequila Sunrise", "French Kiss" (French version sung by Kevin Kline), and "A Life Less Ordinary" (sung in a karaoke bar by Ewan MacGregor and Cameron Diaz). However, I couldn't find any specific info if the song was actually played over the end credits as it was in Nemo, so you might have to rent the flicks to find out!
